The McKoy family told it like it is. Maria Perez is a hypocrite, a racist, and a liar. If the Latino heritage was the main criterion why wasn't it checked and verified upon entry? Maria was only concerned about the entry fee. It makes me wonder if the winner was supposed to be the child who was the runner up. it wasn't until she actually won that Maria's wheels got to turning, trying to find any reason to take Jakiyah's crown. Why wasn't the child totally disqualified instead of given runner-up? She had no proof of Latino heritage to be the winner so that means she should not have been awarded runner up in this bogus pageant. It sounds like to me that this child was denied the title she rightfully won because she looks more Black than Latino, if she is Latino enough to be runner up, then she is Latino enough to be awarded Miss Chiquita Delaware. I will be signing the petition. This is racism at it's finest. If your hatred runs deep enough to hurt an innocent child, what else are you willing to do in the name of HATE?
